Meet Chef Lisa

Private Chef | Culinary Stylist | Founder of LuLu Belle CA


Chef Lisa Robinson is a California-based private chef with over 16 years of experience designing bespoke, seasonal menus for clients along the coast—from Santa Ynez and Montecito to Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and the Hollywood Hills. Known for her elevated approach, clean flavors, and deep respect for local ingredients, she works with private clients seeking luxury in-home dining experiences, estate weekends, and wellness-centered retreats.


A graduate of both UC Berkeley and Le Cordon Bleu, Chef Lisa began her professional life in film and television production before transitioning into the culinary world. A move with Patagonia brought her to Ventura, but it was the region’s coastal rhythm, farmers’ markets, and connection to the land that grounded her work and inspired her to stay.


In 2020, when the world slowed, family Tik Tok dance videos flooded the feeds, wine clubs were flying to mailboxes and local farms faced overripe harvests and disrupted supply chains, Chef Lisa  began preserving peak-season fruit. What started as an act of care became LuLu Belle CA—a small-batch jam brand now known for its bold flavors and chef-level execution. From Ventura-grown Albion strawberries to Ojai citrus and Heritage Valley blood oranges, she sources every ingredient with integrity and intention.


Chef Lisa's work reflects a deep belief in place-based cooking: real food made by hand, in rhythm with the season, always tailored to the occasion. Whether she’s building a custom menu for a private dinner party or layering preserves in her coastal kitchen, she brings the same attention to detail and artistic instinct.


When not cooking for her private chef clients, Chef Lisa enjoys Pilates and photographing the sourcing process, coastal lifestyle, and California’s changing seasons. Her original photography appears throughout the LuLu Belle CA brand and is available for licensed use.

Philosophy

Being a private chef isn’t about showing off—it’s about showing up prepared. Chef Lisa Robinson carefully designs each custom seasonal menu to reflect the occasion, the environment, and the individuals at the table—whether through direct collaboration or years of intuitive service.

Every element is thoughtfully chosen and built around the best of what’s in season—pristine seafood, sun-warmed vegetables, decadent cakes, or elegant dishes meant to linger in memory. It’s elevated California cooking, executed with precision, restraint, and quiet confidence.

This isn’t just a meal—it’s a chef-led experience, crafted with care, and tailored to those who know the difference.

Process

Everything  from LuLu Belle CA and Chef Lisa —whether a jar of seasonal jam or a private dinner menu—begins with peak California ingredients and ends with care.


Each batch of LuLu Belle CA preserves is made in small quantities using fruit sourced from trusted local farms, including Ventura-grown Albion strawberries, Ojai Cara Cara oranges, and Heritage Valley blood oranges. The process is slow, intentional, and done by hand—just like the culinary experiences Chef Lisa Robinson creates for her private clients across Santa Barbara, Montecito, Malibu, and the Hollywood Hills.


From stirring jam to designing multi-course menus, Chef Lisa’s approach is rooted in seasonality, sustainability, and chef-level technique—never rushed, never artificial.
